The journey of a lifetime begins at the Delhi Cantonment station where the guests are accorded a warm, traditional welcome before the pulsating Palace-on-Wheels pulls out into the night ... for a week-long luxury cruise through fascinating Rajasthan.

The Palace on Wheels comprises of 14 fully air-conditioned deluxe saloons, equipped with world class amenities to enhance the pleasure of traveling.

SALOONS (Coaches) In The Royal Splendor

The train is completely self- sufficient and is fully air-conditioned, comprising of 14 deluxe saloons .The names of the saloons given are based on the princely states of Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Alwar, Bundi, Kota, Jhalawar, Dungarpur, Dholpur, Bharatpur, Jaisalmer, Sirohi, Bikaner, Udaipur and Kishangarh.

14 fully air-conditioned deluxe saloons, each a combination of 4 twin bedded chambers with channel music, intercom, attached toilets, running hot and cold water, shower, wall to wall carpeting and other amenities.

The Bar-cum-Lounge in Palace on Wheels, is furnished with period furniture to create the royal ambience. It is spacious and beautifully decorated. From scotch to cocktails, Palace on wheels serves them all.

The Palace on Wheels is regularly refurbished to a great extent. The decor in the saloons, bar lounge has been changed, keeping in mind the traditionally aesthetic yet modern, Palace on Wheels. Also Facilities such as luggage collection arrival kit attendant "Khidmatgars" ,meals, mineral water, newspaper, magazines, special assistance for disabled persons, indoor games , lounge, medical aid, restaurants, shopping smoking, ATM, Phone etc.

Now chug your train out of Delhi cantonment on a week-long run through Rajasthan every Wednesday night, with a trip also inbuilt to Agra and the Taj Mahal. Turban-wearing attendants take over form the moment you arrive at the platform, assigning you your coupes and detailing all the facilities that are on board.
